MEMBERS shall strive to enhance the
professional standards of real estate agents in Hong Kong.
MEMBERS shall endeavour to protect the
public against fraud, exaggeration, misrepresentation, concealment of facts or unethical
practice in connection with real estate transactions.
MEMBERS shall render their services and
opinions based only on their knowledge, training, qualifications and experience in real
estate.
MEMBERS shall disclose their interest to
their principals at all time in real estate transactions in which they are involved.
MEMBERS shall not deny professional
services to any person for reasons of race, creed, colour, sex, marital status, country of
origin or political opinions.
MEMBERS shall conduct their business in
strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the Regulations and Laws of Hong Kong.
MEMBERS shall not allow inducement of
profit or instructions from clients to justify departure from the ideals of fair dealing
and high integrity.
MEMBERS shall, when acting as agents,
acknowledge to their principal(s) any commission or remuneration they will receive.
MEMBERS shall seek no unfair advantage
over, injure directly or indirectly the reputation of, or publicly disparage the business
practices of the other MEMBERS.
MEMBERS shall operate a separate client's
bank account for the purposes of holding client funds.
MEMBERS shall endeavour to use such
Standardized Documents as may be drawn up by the Society.
MEMBERS shall pledge to observe the
"Code of Ethics" in all their activities related to real estate and to conduct
their business in accordance with the Association Standard of Practice which may be
amended from time to time by the Council.
